The cross-country trails open progressively from 4 November 2017, through to the full opening of all trails on 2 - 3 December 2017, and remain open until 29 April 2018. Trail openings depend on the post winter condition of trails - a factor that changes each year based on weather conditions, remaining snowpack, debris on the trails.
We will post updates to this site (via our online trail report) and our social media channels as we head towards the mountain bike season, and if you would like clarification or have questions about particular trails please contact Resort Management on 03 5777 6077.
Gravity trails are open to riders on days when the Northside Express Chairlift or Blue Dirt Mountain Bike shuttles are operating, between the first weekend in December and the last weekend in April.
The Northside Express Chairlift operates 10am - 4pm daily from 26 December 2017 to 9 January 2018 and on select weekends through to April. Further information here. This chairlift returns riders and their bikes to the Spurs Restaurant at the top of the trails. For further information on downhill operations, please phone Buller Ski Lifts on 03 5777 7800.
Outside of the chairlift operating period, a shuttle is operated by Blue Dirt Mountain Biking, which runs between Lower Tyrol car park and Spurs on select weekends from 9am–4pm. For further information on the downhill shuttle service, click here or call Blue Dirt Mountain Biking on 0409 161 903 or email email@example.com.
The Mt Buller Tourist Road is open to road cyclists outside the snow season (usually October - early June). For upcoming road closures contact Resort Management on 03 5777 6077.
A mountain bike shuttle operates from Mirimbah (at the base of the mountain) to Mt Buller daily until January 14, then each weekend until 29 April. Click here for more info.

The pump trail is open during daylight hours only, coinciding with the cross-country trail opening dates.
Some trail closures will occur when the resort hosts events that require exclusive use of trails, for the safety of competitors and other trail users. Please ensure you visit our Trail Report and Event Calendar to see if there are events with trail closures occurring during your planned visit. We try to keep the impact on other trail users to a minimum and provide times and dates of closures as soon as they are available.
You can also get in touch with Resort Management on 03 5777 6077 if you have any other enquiries about trail closures.
