The MTB Season is upon us

25 October 2016

That time of year is upon us when we put the skis away and dust off the bike as we prepare for a busy summer here on top of the world. Don't mind the magpies as you saddle up for another exciting season of riding!

Our trail crew is already out prepping trails and have a big task ahead of them over the coming weeks to ensure the network is in tip-top condition and ready for you to ride. Our official opening weekend is on the first weekend of December (3-4 December), when our entire network will be open. But lucky for you we'll have rolling trail openings from 29 October, as finished trails come online, so keep an eye on the MTB Trail Report for the latest status updates.

The following trails are open, ready for you to relish from 29 October
Copperhead, Soul Revival, One Tree Hill, Gang Gangs, Wombat Trail, Picnic Trail, Medusa, Clancy's Run, Split Rock and Delatite River Trail. The Village pump track is also set up and ready to be pumped by you!
Note: Given the harsh winter and above average rainfall, this has changed the condition of the Delatite River Trail, and it's rougher than in previous years. Maintenance is continuing on this trail, so please expect significant windfall not yet cleared. All other trails remain closed and are not fit to ride, due to windfall and debris. For riders' safety, and to prevent trail damage, we encourage everyone to keep to open trails.
For further info on the trails head to the Bike Buller website.

Got any plans for the Melbourne Cup long weekend? Why not grab a bunch of friends and escape the glitz and glamour of the Spring Racing Carnival and head for the hills? Bring your bike and
check out a selection of trails that will be open across the whole long weekend.

All Terrain Cycles have an action-packed Cup weekend planned with a heap of fun activities including a Copperhead / Delatite ride with lunch and shuttles, live entertainment at the Bike Club of Victoria, and a BMX pump track comp; so giddy up and get riding! The shop will be also open, with new hire bikes and product, as well as guided rides, lessons and skills clinics from Gravity OZ. Drop in and say hi and welcome back.

The Mirimbah shuttle will be back again in 2016-17, starting on Friday, 28 October.
The shuttle operates from the Mirimbah Store (at the base of the mountain) to Mt Buller and Mt Stirling each weekend until 30 April 2017. There are more services this summer, so make sure you book a spot - these guys are in high demand and it's a long, steep uphill pedal back up to the Village from Mirimbah! (Extra shuttles can be operated on demand for groups of 10 or more people. Friday shuttles must be booked by 2pm on Thursday).
Cost: $20 per run / $50 for a day pass (access to all shuttles during the day) / $80 weekend pass
